There are many places to eat in both Matakana and Warkworth Villages. If you want something casual, try a gourmet burger or fish & chips at the Gourmet Takeaway, a pizza from the Rusty Pelican or from The Pizza Company in Warkworth who have great pizza and pasta. And of course you can always buy a bottle of wine and bring your goodies back to Cedarhouse to eat on the balcony under the stars!

• Ascension Vineyard
  Winery, restaurant and conference facilities in a stunning setting of vineyards and a background of magnificent native bush. Caters to large groups and weddings in their conference area. Cosy intimate meals in a separate first class restaurant and a sunny courtyard café. There is a children’s menu available. Ascension is a one minute drive (or a short walk!) from Cedarhouse B&B. • Dragonfly Café
  Situated in Matakana Road, Dragonfly Café has a sculpture and painting gallery attached.
• Café Sandspit

• Heron’s Flight Vineyard Café
  Winery, restaurant and conference facilities catering to large and small groups. Their first class restaurant and café are open 7 days a week with a children’s menu available. Meet the locals at the “Long Italian Dinner” on the last Thursday of each month (bookings essential). Heron’s Flight is just a four minute drive away. • Tapiano Bar and Bistro

• Brick Bay Wines
  Overlooking the magnificent Kawau Bay, Brick Bay Wines is a small family vineyard with unique terroir producing sought after red and white wines. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Pinot Gris. Also home to a beautiful purpose built tasting facility, restaurant, and a magnificent sculpture walk though the gardens, bush and wetlands. A 15 minute drive from Cedarhouse B&B. • Leigh Sawmill Café and Restaurant

• Country Kitchen Café
